A skincare line built on the regenerative benefits of grape
seeds, Caudalie eventually set out to design a dream place
set in—you guessed it—the heart of a 600-year-old winery,
Château Smith Haut Lafitte, in the year 1999. Les Sources De
Caudalie has since been welcoming guests over to have their
senses pampered, bodies soothed and souls regenerated in an
exquisitely serene rural ambience.
Inside, one will find the lavish Vinothérapie® spa. The
spacious wood and stone building blends in with the blissful
vineyard while boasting an interior that is both attractive and
contemporary. Displaying a patina developed from light, decay-
proof red cedar gives the spa warmth and discretion. Windows
are reminiscent of mashrabiyas, an oriel window enclosed
with carved wood latticework in Arab countries. Natural and
indirect lighting flatters without being overwhelming. Its wood
and marble décor exudes a tranquil atmosphere to promote a
feeling of utmost peace.
While making your way to the spa from the hotel via a
charming covered outer passageway, you will be blessed
with a panaromic view of the vast, rustic vineyards. Finally,
unwind for the day as you soak up on the vine-based pampering
treatments paired with grape-based products such as the
famous Crushed Cabernet scrub and Barrel Bath.
