To pay tribute to the multifaceted 21st century woman, Hublot

taps on Marc Ferrero, the mastermind behind Storytelling Art.

Together they embark on a partnership to cultivate the art of

exploration, guided by their shared principle of fusion.

For the watchmaking brand, fusion translates as the electrifying

mash-up of rare and innovative materials. Meanwhile, for the

artist and friend of the brand, it is the deft mix of dissonant

visual forms which he describes as using “different graphic

styles such as cubism, impressionism, surrealism and

figurativism on the same plane or over my works—just like a

film director uses special effects to tell a story.”

Adopting horology as the vehicle for art, the two creative

spirits teamed up using their common philosophy to create

a tale of timeless adventures. The result, unveiled as the

Big Bang One Click Marc Ferrero timepiece, proves once

again that Hublot time instruments is the ideal platform for

the sporadic injection of contemporary art in expressing the

Maison’s masterful alchemy of the past, present and future

and also materials, complications and events of our times.

To showcase the exclusive watch as the embodiment of

the modern-day heroine—muse, partner in life and love,

entrepreneur, femme fatale and sartorialist—the collaborators

bring its dial to life with Lipstick. This iconic work by Ferrero

characterises the female by her artful balance of inner strength

and femininity.

Giving the 39-mm bezel a strong chromatic presence are forty-

two precious stones of red spinels for the crimson version and

topazes for the turquoise one. There are two strap options in

leather and alligator/rubber which are easily swapped with a

mere touch of the timepiece’s “One Click” patented fastening

system.

The spectacular fusion of watchmaking and painting in

movement culminating from Hublot and Ferrero’s bold

exploratory approach is available in a special red and blue

series of 50 watches in each hue.
