CUT FABRICS
Cut pieces in the following order.
Full-size foundation patterns are on pattern
sheets 1 and 2. The sleigh block is made of
six sections (A–F), the tree blocks are made
of one section each, and the cottage block is
made of seven sections (A–G). Each position
on the foundation patterns is labeled by section
letter and position number. As you cut each
piece, label it accordingly to keep the pieces
organized. The Friendship Star blocks are not
foundation-pieced.
Because the sleigh, tree, and cottage blocks
are foundation-pieced, their fabric pieces are
cut larger than necessary. You’ll trim them to
the correct sizes after stitching them to the
