DIRECTIONS
Make the stencil
- Prepare a padded printing surface on your work
table with a stack of newspapers or an old towel.
Place the 5 ½ " x 6 ½ " piece of muslin on the
printing surface. - Press a 5 ½ " x 6 ½ " piece of freezer paper, plastic
side down, adhering it to the muslin.
NOTE: Use a dry iron with no steam. I start with the
wool setting. If the layers don’t stick together, raise
the temperature of the iron and try again.
- Without moving the freezer paper/muslin unit,
press a 5 ½ " x 6 ½ " piece of stabilizer, fusible side
down, to the freezer paper. If wrinkles appear, try
to smooth them with the iron. Allow this to cool
completely and then peel it from the printing
surface. You should have a sturdy and fl exible
stencil material.
NOTE: The right side of the stencil will always be
the side with the stabilizer.
