“I love the rich, warm colors of autumn and enjoy pairing them with unexpected cool colors. For this piece I created a piece of silk
fusion for the background and embellished additional silk roving on it to represent the air stream for the leaves. I changed the photo
of the mannequin by Dircan MacLeod on Pixabay to blue—winter is coming, after all—and printed it on silk charmeuse. I used
degummed throwsters silk waste for the hair and silk chiff on for the drape.”
