Diversity and inclusion are big topics
in tech at the moment. Men
outnumber women in tech at a rate of four
to one and women hold just five per cent
of leadership positions. Yet it’s proven
that diverse teams lead to better
outcomes. We’re building products for a
diverse audience, therefore it’s important
that we have a diverse team inputting
into the decisions we make along the way.
I spent the majority of my career never
seeing another woman professionally.
Realising that this was the norm for
others too, my co-founder Anna Youngs
and I created a space for women to meet
and support each other to navigate their
careers in tech. While starting out as a
small gathering, Triangirls is now over a
year old and regularly sells out venues
with over 150 women. Our events are
