W
hen friends and family come over to your house this
Christmas, putting on the kettle is always a given – so why
not store your teabags in style this season with Debbie
Simpson’s fabulous wreath? It’s a fun decoration for your wall, and
would also make a wonderful present for a tea lover!
Making the wreath is simple. Cut out a circle from
greyboard using a dinner plate or similar as a template,
then use a saucer to cut out a circle from the centre.
Cover the front and back of the wreath with
patterned papers, and attach die-cut wreath
tendrils and flowers to the inner circle. Decorate
wooden clothes pegs with strips of paper, and
attach a scalloped circle to each with a
die-cut letter, so they spell out a festive
message. Then just clip your teabags to
the pegs so they’re ready to be brewed.
Choose individually wrapped teabags
that coordinate with your patterned
papers – cinnamon varieties will smell
wonderfully festive, too!
There’s a lot of scope to personalise
this wreath – paint the pegs, or add
glitter to them for that extra wow factor.
’Tis the season to sparkle, a er all!
