elight your little elf on
Christmas Day with
a pair of these pointybeauties. Although simple to
knit, the jolly colours and frilly
cuffs will make them a fun
project. If you like, you could
also knit a little yellow 'bell' for
the end of each bootie, using
the berry pattern from the
pudding booties. Just make
sure they are sewn on securely.Elf booties (make 2)
Upper
Starting at toe, using 3. 7 5mm (UK 9, US
5) needles and Cutie Clover, cast on 4 sts.
Row 1 Knit.
Next (and every alt) row Purl.
Next row (K1, inc) to end. 6 sts
Next row (K2, inc) to end. 8 sts
Next row K 3 , inc in next 2 sts, k 3. 10 sts
Next row K4, inc in next 2 sts, k4. 12 sts
Next row K5, inc in next 2 sts, k5. 14 sts
Next row K6, inc in next 2 sts, k6. 16 sts
Inc in this way until there are 24 sts.
Starting with a purl row, st-st 11 rows.
Next row K 8 , cast off 8 sts, k 8.
Working on this set of 8 sts, turn.
Next row Purl to last 2 sts, p2tog. 7 sts
Next row K2tog, knit to end. 6 sts
Starting with a purl row, st-st 1 3 rows.
Cast off.
Rejoin yarn to rem sts.
Next row P2tog, purl to end. 7 sts
Next row Knit to last 2 sts, k2tog. 6 sts
Starting with a purl row, st-st 1 3 rows.

With RS facing and 3 .25mm (UK 10, US
3 ) needles, use Cutie Clover to pick up
and knit 14 sts along left side, pick up
and knit 8 sts along centre and pick up
and knit 14 sts along right side. 3 6 sts
Work 5 rows 1x1 rib.
Next row Dec 1st, rib to last 2 sts, dec.

Change to Flamenco and, starting with

Cut yarn and thread through.
Sew Flamenco cuff then Cutie Clover rib
and down back of foot. Fold tip of upper
then sew seam for 3 .5cm (1¼in). Sew
back of sole to back of bootie then sew
front of sole to front of bootie.
Use pins to pin sides tog, stretching
sole slightly, then sew in place.
Turn RS out.
Fold Flamenco top of cuff to meet Cutie
Clover rib. Place frill around cuff, then
sew cast-off sts of cuff to frill.
Weave in all loose ends securely to
