and Yarn A, cast on 32 (34: 3 6: 38 ) sts.

Rows 1-8 Knit to end in Yarn A.

Change to 4mm (UK 8 , US 6) needles.

Front neckline

Using 3 .5mm (UK 9/10, US 4) needles,

Yarn A and RS of front facing, pick

up and knit 26 (29: 3 2: 3 5) sts evenly

across neckline. Cast off.

It’s in the detail

When you come to follow the

reindeer chart, start at the

bottom right-hand corner. Read

RS rows from right to left and

WS rows from left to right. Place

your reindeer motifs neatly in

the middle of the Back and Front,

making sure you catch the white

yarn at the back of the work.

Top Tip

Make sure you don’t pull

the yarns too tightly

when you’re stranding

them, to prevent

puckering

Making up

Sew up shoulder seams 5cm (2in) in

from the outside edge. Fold sleeves in

half and mark the centre. Sew the top

of the sleeve to the armholes matching

the garter stitch top to the garter band

on the Front and Back of jumper. The

centre of the Sleeve seam should align

with the shoulder seam.

With RS facing, sew the side seams

from the bottom of the jumper up to

the armhole and then cont sewing the

Sleeve seam to the cuff.

Using Yarn A, make 2 small crochet

chains for the buttons. Sew 1 at the

edge of the back neck/shoulder seam

on either side of the jumper. Sew each

button onto front corner of the neck.
