There was a soupçon of the psychedelic on parade
at Stella McCartney, Prabal Gurung and Pringle of
Scotland this season. Scattered among the Argyle
knitwear synonymous with the latter, and alongside
colourful ensembles inspired by football fan apparel
from the 1980s, was a smattering of tie-dye oferings
in the resort collection. The trippy pattern of this dress
may be decidedly hippy, but its wibbly stripe details
are based on the design of a vintage Pringle jersey.
The efect brings a consciousness-expanding élan
to the brand’s athletic heritage, making it suitable
for both the sports track and the festival ield.
