necessary. All processing for Voice Control takes
place on the device, which ensures that data
stays private. Voice Control can also be used to
get word and emoji suggestions and can be
used to navigate the entire operating system
using new numbers and labeling tools.
Finally, macOS Catalina takes the Apple Watch
unlocking experience to the next level, with the
smartwatch now able to be used for verification
anywhere you need to type your Mac password,
for example when viewing passwords or
unlocking a note. This is a small change but very
convenient, taking away some of the frictions
associated with Mac management.

macOS Catalina may look the same as macOS
Mojave from the outside, but thanks to some
of the most significant changes since Apple
dropped its OS X branding, this year’s release
feels pretty big. The software and tweaks make
the Mac feel more like a Mac, allowing you to
take everything you do above and beyond,
without limitation or unnecessary frustration.
