Even if you have a few fingers outside of Apple’s
walled garden, iCloud can prove a surprisingly
viable option. This is thanks largely to the recent
launch of a new iCloud for Windows app,
which can be downloaded from the Microsoft
Store and uses the same Windows technology
powering OneDrive’s Files On-Demand feature.
This makes it easier for OneDrive users to
comfortably switch.
On Android, iCloud functionality is more
limited, as Apple has not released an iCloud
app dedicated to Google’s mobile platform.
However, there remain a few workarounds,
like the ability to fetch Apple Music content from
your iCloud Music Library, thanks to the Apple
Music app on Android.
