sensation and uses for a foldable, dual-screen
smartphone remain slim right now, but that will
change in the years ahead.

Apple has reportedly been working on
foldable technology to launch a new iPhone
and iPad in 2021, whilst Microsoft has already
unveiled its foldable phone, the Microsoft
Surface Duo. Google has also been working on
technology behind the scenes to make foldable
technology more useful.

It’s also been a big year for Tesla, with the
company introducing a whole host of new
tech at its October conference. Alongside an
impressive all-electric pickup truck, dubbed
the Cybertruck, the firm announced an all-
terrain vehicle called the Tesla Cyberquad to
be made available with the Cybertruck, rather
than on its own.

And that’s without mentioning the huge
advancements in 5G technology, with several
countries now rolling out the technology
ahead of a major 2020 release. T-Mobile
launched its nationwide 5G technology which
reaches 200 million people, AT&T will launch
its own 5G network before the year is out,
and Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon
865 processor, which features a 5G modem.
Samsung launched its first 5G-capable
smartphone earlier in the year, and Apple
will follow suit in 2020 when it introduces
four new high-end iPhones under the 12
moniker. In the UK, 5G is now available
in the home across London thanks to
network Three, and last month China began
rolling out one of the biggest networks in
the world.
