There is a strange quirkabout

Formula 1. All seasonthe teams

are paranoid about keeping

their carssecret andensuring

photographers don’t capture

revealing spy shots. Thenthe

moment thechequeredflag falls

on the final race of theseason ,

the car suddenly becomes

redundant.

Right at the end of qualifying

in Abu Dhabi, I spotted Lewis

Hamilton moveto the front of

his car while bothValtteri Bottas

and Max Verstappenwere being

interviewed fortelevisi on.

It was apoignant moment,

since it would be thelast time

Hamiltonwould ever qualifythis

car. It wil l be soon replaced by

next year’s challenger.
