Get a sharable link
In Share>Continue>Share With Others>
Advanced, you’ll have access to the sharable
link as well as control over who can access
the project. Invite people and prevent invited
editors from changing access/adding others.2
Determine access
Click ‘Change‘ next to ‘Private – Only You
Can Access’ and you can indicate whether or
not you want any member of the public to find
and view your project. You can also ensure

Start new project
Visit Google Earth (https://earth.
google.com/web) in the Chrome browser
and select the Projects icon from the left-
hand menu. Click ‘New Project’.4
Save the location
If you like what you see, then you can
click ‘Add to Project’. This will allow you to
give the location’s entry a title and ensure it’s
being placed in the correct project.2
Give it a title
Use the boxes to fill in the basic details
of your project such as its title and what
it’s going to be about. You can now begin
building the project by clicking ‘New Feature’.5
Add a placemark
Continue adding locations by clicking
‘New Feature’ and repeating the steps. You
can also add a placemark, moving around
the map to pinpoint a place and saving.3
Add a place
You’ll be given three options: to search
for a place, add a placemark or draw lines
and shapes. Click the first option and type a
location to insert it into your project.6
Draw a line
If you opt to draw a line or a shape, then
you’ll be asked to click on a starting position
and move around the screen. When you want
to save your line or shape, press ‘Enter’.
