Manage and delete your apps

You can also call upon a management menu for

each of the apps on your Apple TV Home screen

Create a folder

It is also possible to place app icons into

folders. To create one, move a jiggling app

icon into the space occupied by another and

release before clicking to save it.

Name a folder

When you have apps in a folder, you can

swipe up to highlight the folder’s title. Upon

clicking, an onscreen keyboard will appear

allowing you to change the default name.

Adding more apps

Folders can be removed by shifting the

apps within it back on the Home screen. Other

apps can be added by highlighting, pressing

and holding and moving them over a folder.

Visit Settings>Users and Accounts>iCloud and you can sync each of the

screens by signing in using the same Apple ID on each Apple TV you own.

In order to call upon this menu,

highlight an app before pressing and

holding until the icon jiggles. Then

press the Play/Pause button on your

Siri Remote for the available options.

Delete an app

At the top of the screen is an option to

delete the app. Doing so will remove all

of its data which you may not be able

to retrieve. You will, however, be able

to reinstall the app later for free (built-in

apps can’t be removed).

Create a new folder

If you select New Folder, then the

highlighted app will be immediately

placed within one. You’ll have the

option of changing the default name

which is based on that app.
