Understand the icons when you play a song

The Now Playing screen has a few playback
options that are easy to get to grips with

4

Check your library
Any Playlists that you have created in
Spotify will be shown under Your Library. If you
‘like’ (heart) a song or an album that you play
on Apple TV, it’ll appear here too.

5

Search for a song
To find a song, go to Search. Use the
onscreen keyboard or, with a Bluetooth and
Wi-Fi-enabled device on the same Apple ID,
use the iDevice’s keyboard via the notification.

6

Play a song
When you find an album or playlist that
you like, select it and view the available songs.
Select ‘Play’ or choose from the listed tunes
and select ‘Pause’ if you need a break.

Want to log out of Spotify? Then select Settings in the Spotify app (a section
otherwise preoccupied with T&Cs, licenses and policies) and select ‘Log Out’.

Forward and back
These standard buttons allow you
to play and pause your music and
skip tracks. Use the Siri Remote to
highlight and select them.

Express your pleasure
When you select the Heart icon, you’re
indicating that you like a song. It will
then be saved to Your Library so that
you can play it again more easily.

Shuffle button
If you don’t want a playlist or album
to play in the original order, tap
Shuffle and it will mix up the tunes so
that they don’t become predictable.

Repeat a tune
Select the Repeat button if you
want to repeat an album or playlist.
When clicking twice, it will show
a number one which means it will
repeat a song once.
