  1. Wali Mohammad
    Khail // An interpreter
    for the British Army, Wali

    for Help for Heroes.

  2. H arr y Vowle s // ‘The
    rhino’ is running for Save
    the Rhino International
and is hoping to bag the
    Guinness World Record
    title for fastest marathon
    dressed as a three-
    dimensional animal (male),
    which stands at 5:15.

  3. Leon Cerrone //
    London will be Leon’s first
    26.2, but the former boxer
    has some rapid 13.1s under
    his belt and feels ready
to step up. His A-goal is
    sub-3:00.

  4. Nina Tully // Told she
    would never run again
    after a severe broken
    hip, Nina underwent
    surgery and 18 months of
    recovery, and then took
    her ballot-place letter to
    her two-year check-up.
    She is running for The
    Chaseley Trust, who care
    for a friend.

  5. Rebekah Grayson //
    Having vowed never
    again, this is Rebekah’s
    third VMLM. She’s raised
    over £6,000 for The
    Lullaby Trust, in the
    memory of a friend’s
    daughter, who died from
    SIDS. She also leads a
    women’s running group
    that inspires others to
    achieve what they never
    thought possible.

    first 26.2 to raise money

    10 stone and transform his
    life through running.

    parents to cancer, both of
    whom were supported by

Macmillan palliative care
nurses, he’ll be raising
money for Macmillan
Cancer Support.

  1. Paula Shrimpton //
    Paula’s hoping to have
    a wonderful time in her
    first marathon while
    raising money for VICTA,
    which supports blind and
    partially sighted children
    and their families.

  2. Paul Watson // In
    2005 a double leg break
    left the sporty 25-year-old
    struggling to walk. Told
    he’d never run again, he
    became depressed, but
    with the support of his
wife, Claire – and a new
    physio – he regained
    mobility. Running London
    will fulfil a childhood
    dream. He is raising cash
    for the NSPCC.

  3. Lucy Cookman //
    Lucy is running for all
    those people whose sight
    or hearing affects them
    every day, raising funds
    for Deafblind UK, who
    helped her grandmother
    remain independent when
    she lost her sight.

  4. Emma Burrows //
    Having wanted to run
    London since watching
    it on TV aged seven,
    Emma will be fulfilling
    a dream and raising
    cash for Alzheimer’s
    research in memory
    of her grandparents.

  5. Reanne Birch //
    Running for Macmillan
    Cancer Support to say
    thanks for the support
they give her mum in her
    fight with the disease.

  6. Barinderjit Singh
    Cheema // The man with
    the best run handle ever

  • usingh_bolt – is running
    for The British Heart
    foundation after a work
    colleague died from a
    heart attack last year.

  1. Lizzie Fox // Lizzie
    saw her friend, Fred, for

the last time on the day of
the 2018 VMLM. She’ll be
thinking of him, both her
grandmothers and others
every step of the way,
while raising money for
Cancer Research UK.

  1. David Upton //
    Having experienced his
    own struggles with mental
    health, it’s a battle David
    understands and wants to
fight in any way he can, so
    he’s running to support
    MIND and their essential
    work helping people
    to stay afloat in our
    challenging world.

  2. Chloe Giltrow Shaw //
    After losing her mother
    and grandfather to
    pancreatic cancer, Chloe

    memory of them and
    to raise money for
    Pancreatic Cancer UK.

  3. Rachel Webster //

    aged just eight months.

Running for her dad – her
    ‘true hero’ – who died
    from a stroke, and raising
    money for the Stroke
    Association.

  5. Dave Mantle // After
    running 3:00:32 in 2017
    Dave was hoping for sub-3,
    but a plantar injury means
he’s now in a race to get
    to the start line healthy.

25, 26. Jacquie Millett
and Martin Langlands //
This will be 66-year-old
Jacquie’s 189th marathon
and eighth London, but
this year will be extra
special – she’s an RW
pacer. Her husband,
Martin, can’t wait to run
VMLM, as it’s part of a
bigger goal – it will be his
fifth of the Abbott World
Majors and he’s aiming to
complete the set of six in
Boston next year.
