Now I never witness my father spanking his daughters nor raise his hand to my mother, but only
one daughter admits to never have had his rath upon her, which to me suggest he may have
spanked my other sisters at one time.
Dad was more boisterous than action when it came to discipline. That's all he needed to do 99.99%
of the time. We were good kids, but we didn't want to push it to that point. Only sibling number #2
would ever do so. I think dad kinda liked the reverence and challenges from him.
After all, I did witness the dreaded swinging broom.
My mother admitted to me several times in her ashbacks, as if it was a badge of honor, that daddy,
as she would call him, never raised his hand against her. I rarely saw him disagree with her. She
seemed to always win any disagreement that popped up I think he was an early adapter to the
"Happy Wife, Happy Life" mode of matrimonial relationship.
As I stated earlier, my father had gone legally blind after he retired. Probably a result of his long
term Type II diabetic condition.
While he was not totally blind, his vision was severely impaired. He could not see in detail.
