Over to You

T

his was my latest large
project. I stitched this in
just about a month. It is from
Dimensions, and I love the
ladies in the carriage and how
the castle looks. It makes me
wish I was taking a horse and
carriage ride in the countryside
in the summer! All I need to
do now is frame it.
I love this magazine, and
I will definitely send photos
of my other projects as I
complete them. I have been
busy making lots of cards so I
will take photos when I can.
Jennifer Moville,
via email

Tina: Yes please, Jennifer,
more photos of your future
projects are most welcome.
This finished countryside
scene is stunning. We love the
blue and green tones, and the
whole scene is so charming.
If you’re looking for more
charts to keep you busy,
turn to page 24, to create
the cute ‘Fox Cushion’ from
Fiona Baker, or page 72 for
Maria Diaz’s
opulent ‘Lady’s
Portrait’.
Enjoy!

LOTS OF LOVE AND HUGS

I

’ve finally finished this beautiful gift for Valentine’s Day
from issue 278 (March 2019) of WOXS. I thought you’d
like to see it – the love card that I stitched for my hubby! I
decided to attach a little pink button. It’s a simple addition,
but I’m totally thrilled with the result. It was a great gift.
Thank you for inspiring me! Happy stitching to all.
Veronica Paratico, Italy
Hannah: Buttons are such a cute embellishment, aren’t
they? Your hubby will be tickled pink with this, Veronica!

ello to The World of Cross Stitching.
Please see attached pic of me holding my
finished project entitled ‘Beautiful Bouquet’ by
Amanda Butler, which was on the cover of issue
281 (June 2019). I have been cross stitching for
a long time and have just recently retired so
it’s given me more time to pursue my hobby.
I thoroughly enjoyed creating this and I look
forward every month to getting my magazine
and exclusive gift. Thank you to everyone who
designs and contributes in any way.
Christine Roberts, Hartlepool
Emily: Fabulous result, Christine! This chart is
bursting with joy and colour – and your happy
face just says it all in this photo. Gorgeous!

A great bunch

fter looking at this
month’s magazine,
I thought you might like
to see the two pictures I
stitched for a friend who
wanted two Japanese
ladies! They hang in her
hall in pride of place.
She was thrilled when
I gave them to her. I
have also just completed
Australian wild flowers
for a birthday gift – yet
to be framed. Plus, I’m
stitching a picture of some
canal barges, which is a
work in progress! I also
have a wedding gift to
prepare, so I am about
to stitch the ‘Faith, Hope
and Love’ quotation from
Corinthians chapter 13 for
a friend’s daughter who is
getting married in a few
months’ time!
Thank you for a super
magazine – cross stitch
magazines are becoming
few and far between!
Allison Boreham,
Mitcham
Sue: It’s clear that you
are taking great pleasure
in giving your work to
others, which is so lovely
to hear, Allison. Keep in
touch with more results!

In the countryside
Jennifer got lost in the
scenery of this fab pattern!

Out and about in the countryside
