Bring this adorable little fox to life and create a

his little fox is definitely taking
the time to stop and smell the
flowers! A beautiful companion
piece to Fiona’s hare bolster cushion
from issue 278 (March, 2019), this
adorable scene features the same
stylish black and white flowers with
splashes of hot pink. It will make a
gorgeous centrepiece cushion for
your sofa or bed, or if you’ve already
stitched the hare cushion, why not
display them both side by side?
Stitched on specially printed aida
from Sew-it-All, the pale green gives
the piece a wonderful spring feel as
well as allowing the bright fur of the
fox and pink flowers to really pop.
There’s a lot of stitch detail to enjoy,
with French knots and lazy daisystitch alongside whole cross stitch,
fractionals and backstitch. Not tried
lazy daisy before? Don’t worry, as
you’ll find a full tutorial on page 28.
To finish, add sequins in the flower
centres to give the piece a lovely
texture and shimmer.Creature
The hare bolster cushion is my all-time
favourite design, so I was thrilled to be
able to create a companion piece. I took
my inspiration from a fox who regularly
