Project Soldier Egg Cosies
DESIGNED BY RHONA NORRIE
Looking rather egg-cellent in their dashing uniforms,
these soldiers are sure to make breakfast a real treat
brigade
A
ttention troops! We all
know breakfast is the most
important meal of the day...
So when you’re feeling tired and
weary in the morning, these cheery
chaps will make sure you start the day
off right, with a healthy portion of
boiled eggs and soldiers!
Rhona has designed six friendly
soldiers to guard your eggs – there’s
an army man dressed in camo, a
smart Roman armed with shield
and spear, a brave knight in shining
armour, a skilled Native American
warrior, a tough Viking and a noble
Norman complete with beard. It’ll be
hard to choose who to create first,
but whichever one you pick, it’s
sure to be a fun and easy stitch as
these designs only use whole cross
stitch and backstitch.
When you’ve stitched your own
little army, turn to page 88 to see
how to turn this brave battalion into
fabric-lined egg cosies – it’s easier
than you think with our step-by-steps,
so we’re sure you’ll crack it and be an
eggs-pert in no time.
Breakfast
I had so much fun designing these smiling
soldiers. I hope you love them as much
as I do. I think this merry band of men
would also make great hand puppets
for little children, too.
