    the foreground to frame six
    hours of Earth’s rotation, as
    shown by the apparent
    motion of the stars. To create
    this image, the photographer
    combined 690 exposures of
    30 seconds each.

    in New Brunswick, Canada, in
    this 11-part panorama. The
    imager stood in the middle of
    the frozen river. Deep cracks
