capable printer that’s either faster and
better built or better at reproducing photos.
If documents are your priority,you’ll want a
high minimum speed and low print costs.

less important. Choose aprinter that
reproduces subtle tones well. Youcan’t
determine this by looking at the

particular attention to running costs:
photos use three times as much ink as
regular colour documents.

is improving. Theyuse large individual ink

Printers with automatic duplex (double-
sided) printing or A3 capabilities are now
much more affordable.

from memory cards plugged straight
intothe printer,soyou don’t need to usea
PC. An LCD preview screen offers greater
control forthismethod of printing. Many
inkjet printers now have aPictBridge USB
port, which you can use to print images
directly from most digital cameras.

photography,consider buying an
inkjet that can produce borderless prints
up to A3 size.The best devices can print
photos that look nearly as good as those
from professional labs.
