ONE OF THE many useful
changes that Apple made in
iOS 13, iPadOS and macOS
Catalina is the long overdue
merging of the Find My Phone and Find
My Friends apps.
Now instead of having one app for each
mre/#|rx#kdyh#rqh#dss#wkdw#Ľqgv#|rxu#
contacts as well as your Apple devices. It
has a terrible name – Find My – but as
zhġoo#vhh/#lwġv#yhu|#hdv|#dqg#yhu|#hļhfwlyh1#
If your devices don’t run the latest
versions of iOS, iPadOS and macOS, you’ll
vwloo#eh#deoh#wr#Ľqg#wkhp#iurp#|rxu#rwkhu#
ghylfhv>#exw#li#|rx#zdqw#wr#Ľqg#shrsoh#ru#
hardware from those devices you’ll have
to use Find My Friends, Find My Phone,
or the web–based iCloud version.
In order to use Find My, you need to
be sharing your location. If you haven’t
already set that up, you can do so by
opening the app and then tapping on
Start Sharing Location. You can also share
|rxu#orfdwlrq#zlwk#d#vshflĽf#shuvrq#e|#
entering their name or number and
specifying how long you’d like to share
your location for: an hour, a day, or
lqghĽqlwho|1#Iru#vdihw|#uhdvrqv/#Dssoh#
