(^17) TIDY THE CABLES
The cable routing on the Evolv X is excellent,
so you don’t need to spend hours doing this.
Gather the cables into groups and anchor
themusingthevariousVelcroties.
(^18) USE CABLE COVERS
The case has one last trick up it’s sleeve to
deal with the cable spaghetti, which are two
large cable covers. These sit over the majority
of the cable routes hiding most of your cabling
sins, so getting things perfect isn’t necessary.
(^19) INSTALL FILL PORT
The case has a fill porthole you can use if
you’d prefer to fill from the top of the case
instead of the reservoir. Install the port using
its locking ring on the underside and then
connect a spare tube fitting to it. You can then
run the tubing from this to the inlet port on top
of the reservoir.
(^20) LEAK-TEST
The fill port is also perfect for connecting
your leak tester. Ensure all ports and
blanking plugs are secure, and use a
leak tester such as this one from EKWB
to pressurise the system. You’ll likely
hear air escaping if there are slow
leaks, but the pressure gauge should
rise into the green zone as you pump.
Hold it midway and detach the pump.
If there’s no loss of pressure after
five minutes, you’re good to go.
