Myfatherspentthelastsixyearsof
hislifewithdementia.Helostthe
memoriesofthelasthalfofhislife,
buthecouldrememberhimselfasa
youngfisherman.Myfatherdiedseven
yearsago,andjustashismemories
faded,somyrecollections of him are
diminishing too.

fatheranduseda photographofhim
fishingthatwastakenbymymother.
Pixelatingit intohexagonsproduced
a slightlyblurrede ect,reminiscent
ofmemoriesbecomingconfused
andthendisappearing.Transparent
fabricsina rangeofmonochromatic
toneshintat thedelicacyofmemories.
Thediaphanousnatureofthepiece
alsomeansthatit canbedisplayedso
peoplecanmovearoundit andbeen
seenthroughit,alludingtomemories
rarelybeingshapedinsolitaryisolation.
