Simply Cards & Papercraft - UK (2020-01)

(Antfer) #1

We couldn’t resist a quick 10 minute catch

up with our friend Bev Brown from Uniko

A

new year in itself is
exciting, a time to
re ect on the previous
year, wipe the slate
clean and have a fresh start.
But, a new year at the start
of a new decade seems even
more exciting. A time for new
possibilities, adventures and
surprises! Let’s have a look
at what I have been up to in
January at Uniko HQ and
what I have planned for the
near future.

January release
In years gone by I wouldn’t

have released new products
in January, I would have saved
the rst release until Uniko’s
birthday in February. But, I’ve
changed things up and couldn’t
wait to share the new products
I had designed!
With the popularity of Pure
Florals Peony back in 2019,
it was no surprise that the
showstopper for the January
release was the Hello Lovely
clear stamp set. This set
features a large cluster of
peony blooms, along with
some friendship/love-themed
sentiments. This really is

Hello lovely

one for those that love to
colour, but it has so many
possibilities even for those
who don’t. There are so many
tools and techniques to
add colour to papercrafting
projects these days.
Along with the new products
in this release, it was time
to re-introduce an older
previously released clear
stamp set, Always & Forever.
This features two bold
heart designs and one
of the hearts co-ordinates
beautifully with Beautiful
Blooms I.

Uniko’s 8th Birthday
February is birthday month
here at Uniko HQ and a time
to celebrate my achievements
in running this small business.
It still amazes me how Uniko
has grown in eight years.
From two debuting clear
stamp sets and now with
over 150 products available,
which includes clear stamps,
designer dies and stencils.
The majority of birthday
celebrations are hosted over
on the website and Uniko blog.
With a new release showcase,
competitions and giveaways!
