How long have you been
making cards?
I have been making cards for
around two years, I can’t actually
remember how I started or why I
began but I absolutely love it, it’s
my favourite craft now.

What other crafts have you
tried then?
I do! If there is an opportunity to
make something I will! Recently

We love the light-up detail on Samantha’s

box frame, it’s the perfect gift for

newlyweds or an engagement party

I painted and decorated some

wooden boxes for my nieces

and nephews, which I  lled with

craft goodies.

Do you have a favourite

cardmaking occasion?

It has to be Christmas for me – I

have a big family so it gives me

an opportunity to try out lots of

different styles and techniques.

What are your favourite

products and techniques?

I really enjoy making my own

background papers using ink

and embossing folders, and

I love stamping – Lawn Fawn

stamps and dies are one of my

favourites, they are so cute!

Do you have any crafty words

of wisdom?

I do, but they’re words of wisdom

that I need to follow myself! Try

to keep your

craft room/area

organised! I spent

hours sorting mine out recently

because I get things out and

never put them away.

How does it feel to be a

Papercraft Magazines Designer

of the Year winner?

I am truly overwhelmed! I never

thought I

would win! I read

an interview in Simply

Cards & Papercraft with a

previous winner who had said

she hadn’t expected to win

either and said people should

enter because you never know

if you might win. It encouraged

me to enter too, and look where

I am now!
