7 Cut out two hearts from the
stamped clay, either freehand
or using cutters and then allow
the clay to dry completely.
9 Apply Broken China Distress
Oxide Ink around the edges
of the card, this draws the
eye into the focal imagery.
8 Adhere the two clay hearts
to the background panel,
adding cheesecloth behind
for added texture.
5 Apply an even coat of Mermaid
Lagoon ink to the stamp. Press
into the clay, pressing lightly to
give a good impression.
6 Carefully remove the stamp
from the clay and you are
left with a detailed raised
impression in your clay.
10 Add doodles around the
outside edges of the card,
this gives a personal touch
to your piece.
11 Apply Broken China Distress
Oxide Ink around the edges of
a Quote Chip and adhere to the
decorative panel. Add an Index
Clip to each heart as shown for
added dimension.

IN-DEPTH HOW TO: use clay on your cards
4 Apply a thin layer of corn our
to the rolled-out clay, this
ensures that our stamp does
not stick to the clay.
3 Apply a thin layer of corn our
onto a non-stick craft sheet
and roll out a small piece of
clay. Do not roll the clay out
too thinly or it will stick and
not be as easy to use in the
later stages.
2 Place the stencil ink-side
down onto white cardstock
and dab the back of the
stencil with a piece of kitchen
towel. Allow the ink to absorb
before removing the stencil.
Allow
the ink
to dry naturally, this will
give more intensity of
colour. If you dry the ink
with a heat tool, it will
force the colour into the
cardstock and it won’t
have as much intensity
