PRACTICAL
March 2020
STAGE FOUR
Working my way around the paper, I began to tear it to create
pieces with soft edges. I was sure to capture a basic shape of the
white cli s. I was looking for drama, not accuracy
STAGE FIVE
I pasted the collage ‘cli s’ onto the pre-
painted watercolour, using PVA glue
FINISHED PAINTING
Cuckmere Storm, watercolour, acrylic,
ink and collage, 2222in (5656cm)
t STAGE THREE
Next, I took a piece of A4 printer paper and used the edge of a
piece of card to drag a little Prussian blue across the paper to create
dragged lines
