Cast off.


Cuff
With RS facing and Walnut, pick up and
knit 14 sts along left side, 8 sts along
centre and 14 sts along right side. 3 6 sts
Row 1 K1, p1 to end (now known as rib).
Work a further 4 rows in rib.
Next row P2tog, rib to last 2 sts, k2tog.
3 4 sts
Next row Rib.
Next row Rib 10, p2tog, k2tog, rib 6,
p2tog, k2tog, rib to end. 3 0 sts
Next row Rib.
Cast off in rib.
Sew seam from top of rib to base of
upper along ankle edge. Turn RS out.


Sole
Using Walnut, cast on 7 sts.
Row 1 Knit.
Next row-RGMRƤVWXWXORMXXSPEWXWX
inc. 9 sts
Rep last 2 rows again. 11 sts
G-st 28 rows.
Next row K2tog, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog.
9 sts
Next row Knit.
Rep last 2 rows again. 7 sts
Cast off.
Sew back of sole to back of slipper, then
sew front of sole to front of slipper. Use
pins to pin sides tog, stretching sole
slightly then sew in place securely. Tie in
all loose ends securely.


Eye markers (make 2)
Begin at lower edge using Camel and
cast on 7 sts.
Row 1 Knit.
Next row Purl.
Next row K2tog, knit to last 2 sts, k2tog.
5 sts
Next row Purl.
Next row K2tog, k1, k2tog. 3 sts
Next row Sl1, p2tog, psso.
Cut yarn and thread through.
Place eye markers side by side so that
base of each is sitting above Camel
face, on top of the ribbed cuff. Sew
in position securely. Cut a 1cm (½in)
diameter circle of white felt for each
eye, and a smaller circle of brown
felt. Sew in position with a line of tiny


running sts in brown, using photo as
a guide. Place eyes on top of the eye
markers as shown, and sew in place
with tiny sts. Tie in loose ends securely.

Nose
Using Dark Brown, cast on 3 sts.
Row 1 Inc in every st. 6 sts
Starting with a purl row, st-st 3 rows.
Next row K2tog to end. 3 sts
Cut yarn and thread through.
Pull up sts tightly and secure. Gather
round all edges and pull up gently to
make a ball shape. Pin nose in position,
about 2 rows down from base of eye
markers. Sew securely and tie in all
loose ends. Cut a length of Black yarn
and separate the strands. Use a single
strand to work a mouth, 2 rows below
nose, about 8 sts long. Secure line with
small sts along length. Tie in loose ends.

Ears (make 2)
Begin at lower edge using Camel and
cast on 10 sts.
Row 1 Knit.
Next row K2tog to end. 5 sts
Cut yarn and thread through.
Pull up yarn tightly to curve ear, giving
one straight side (oversew this side

Pin ears in position about 1cm (½in)
back from eye markers, so that the top
half is sitting on the ribbed cuff and
the bottom half is sitting on top of the
Walnut upper. Check ears are even, then
