Dates for your diary
K nitting for Good
Creative knitter Frankie Brown has raised
an incredible £20,000 for the Children’s
Liver Disease Foundation. Frankie’s
herculean effort began when a friend’s
son, Alex, was diagnosed with the rare
liver disease biliary atresia. Putting her
knitting skills into action, Frankie began
to put her wonderful patterns on Ravelry,
making them available in exchange for a
donation. Her patterns proved so popular
that the donations began rolling in! This
milestone also coincides with a major
milestone for Alex, who received a liver
transplant in July 2019 and is planning
on returning to university next year.
