This unexpected release from ex-Oasis
frontman Liam Gallagher compiles stripped-
back renditions of tracks from his second solo
album Why Me? Why Not., itself a surprise hit
last year. The rocker has also thrown in re-
workings of Oasis favorites “Cast No Shadow”
and “Stand By Me”.

- On the day of the EP’s release, Gallagher
also debuted a video for the original demo
version of “Once”, a much-esteemed track
from Why Me? Why Not. - The video depicts former soccer star
Eric Cantona as a wine-drinking king and
Gallagher as his chauffeur and butler. - “Songs like this don’t come around very
often and neither do football players like
him,” Gallagher has tweeted about “Once”
and Cantona. - The EP’s other seven songs were recorded
during Gallagher’s MTV Unplugged stint in
the UK city of Hull in September 2019. - “This is the original demo. It’s my favorite
version; it’s silky smooth and it’s fizzy
bubblech,” he has commented about the
version of “Once” included here.
