Time to heal

Stitching is my all-time

favourite hobby, but this

weekend I needed to prep

my garden for the vegetables

that I grow. Unfortunately,

I really hurt my back in the

process and I was struggling

to walk, so I picked up the

latest issue of Crazy and

stitched the Furry Tales

cards. I completed both in one weekend and I really enjoyed

stitching them. They helped me feel better while I recovered!

Vicky Harrod, Berkshire

Lou says: We hope you’re all healed up, Vicky. These cuties look great!

Neatly does it

I just wanted to show you my finished The

Snowman

TM
piece from issue 249! I also

wanted to show off the back, as I was really

particular about it looking as neat as the

front – even though it’ll become a cushion.

The spots took twice as long, as the threads

needed tying off for each one. I just couldn’t

bring myself to mess up the back!

Beth Chown, Middleton St George

Emma says: I can see why you wanted to

show the back off, Beth! It’s so incredibly

tidy. And it sounds like you’ve been busy

recently, with your handkerchief projects over

on page 47. Perhaps you could use iron-on

interfacing, like with the handkerchiefs, to

protect the back of your stitching here, too.

Made to be

As soon as I saw the

birth sampler from

issue 252 , I loved it.

And, happily, my cousin

announced she was

expecting not long after,

so I started making it for

her. It suits her perfectly,

as she loves to travel. I’d

never made a hanging

before so I dusted off my

sewing machine and was

ver y pleased with the results!

I’ll definitely be making more hangings

in the future, as it was fun to make

and looks ver y attractive.

Sharon Sawyer, Christchurch

Alison says: I love how this design fell into place for you, Sharon!

We hope you’ll be keeping that sewing machine dusted off because

you’ve done a terrific job making up your hanging. We love it.

Everlasting love

Hi, Crazy team. I’d like to show you a sampler

that I made for my parents’ 40th wedding

anniversar y. It’s taken me months, as I haven’t

been ver y well, but it should be a lovely

surprise. I’ve managed to finish and frame it

with three days to spare – phew!

Helen Ainsworth, Castleford

Emily says: Your sampler looks beautiful,

Helen. Your parents must have been very

pleased to receive such a thoughtful gift on

their special anniversar y. And

congratulations to them both –

celebrating 40 years of marriage

is such a wonderful thing!

Prizes every month!
