Merry making

I made this using the cute Carol-Singing Mice kit by

Margaret Sherry from Crazy issue 249! I put it in a candy

cane-style frame and embellished it with a string of fairy

lights at the top and added glitter all around.

Lyndsey Spark, Tyne and Wear

Lou says: We love it! Those fair y lights are

such a cute touch. I hope this fab frame has

a place on your mantel ever y Christmas!

We love to see what you’ve been busy

stitching, so get in touch and tell us

all about it, and don’t forget to include

a picture! Every letter printed wins a

super-cute kit from

Thoughtful fashion

Hi, Crazy! I used Maria Diaz’s poppy

charts from issue 260 to make badges for

myself and my children for Remembrance

Day last year. We got lots of compliments!

We did, of course, make a donation to the

British Legion’s Poppy Appeal as well.

Thanks for a great magazine, Crazy!

Rebecca Watts, Cambridgeshire

Emily says: Your badges look so stylish,

Rebecca, and it’s great that you made

sure that they still supported a good

cause. Once you’re done with these pins,

you could pop small magnets on the

backs and display them on your fridge.

Crazy for cards!

Here are the Mouseloft kits that I’ve completed so

far this year. They’ll be made into cards and sent out

to loved ones. The bottom three aren’t quite finished

yet, and there are still lots of stitchy greetings make!

Linda Pijnenburg, Cumbria

Alison says: Wow, Linda, you sure have been busy!

These will make such delightful cards for your friends

and family. I think my favourite of the bunch might

be the little dinosaur in the middle, but they’re all

fantastic to look at! We can’t wait to see how many

more you make this year, Linda. Happy stitching!

Dedicated décor

I managed to make these cushions just in time for

Remembrance Day last year. I absolutely loved

stitching these designs and turning them into

cushions. They’re now proudly displayed on my

sofa! I’ve been stitching for over 30 years and

enjoy it more and more every day.

Natasha Bell, Norton

Alison says: You’re one

experienced stitcher,

Natasha! And your

new cushions look

very patriotic.

Well done.

Advent

adaptations

It took me a while to get around to them, but

I’ve stitched the baubles from issue 261.

They only took a few hours each! I enjoyed

stitching them so much, I stitched the robin

again and bought another frame from http://www.

mariescrossstitch.co.uk. I coloured the frame

with a green pen. I also had some Mill Hill seed

beads in red, so I swapped the French knots on

the robin for those. Thanks for a great mag!

Ruth Dove, Newark

Emma says: I love these, Ruth! They’ve inspired

me to tr y painting my own wooden frames.

Win!
