Cat’s meow
I’m looking for a chart of
a Bengal cat that’s suitable
for a card – so, not too big.
Sallie Date, via Facebook
The Bengal cat, also known
as the ‘house tiger’, has
a distinctive marbled coat, often
featuring gold or pearl ‘glitter’.
You certainly chose a stunning
breed to stitch! There are several
large designs of Bengal cats
available, but not many small
ones. However, I did manage
to find this Mini Bengal Cat
from Artecy for you. It’s worked
in whole stitches only and
measures 19x19cm (7½x7½in)
on 14-count aida or 14x14cm
(5½x5½in) on 18-count –
a much better size for a card. You
Labour of love
I would love a lily of the valley
angel or fairy chart. It was my
mum’s favourite flower. She
passed away when I was nine.
Julie Tasane, via Facebook
Stitching your mum’s favourite
flower is a beautiful way to
remember her, Julie. I’ve found
a heartwarming kit for you
from DMC’s Flower Fairies
range. It’s a discontinued
design, but there are still
some kits available if you
know where to look! The Lily
of the Valley Fairy measures
13x18cm (5x7in) and is
stitched on antique white
16-count aida. It’s aimed
at intermediate stitchers.
You can get the complete kit
for £12.99 from stitchnknit.
store.buegle.com or when
you call 01253 883 685.

I’m looking for a design
of a barn owl, please, in
autumnal shades.
Helen Greedy, Basingstoke
I think I’ve found you just
the thing, Helen! This rustic
kit was designed by Rose
Swalwell for Derwentwater
Designs and is bursting
with details inspired by
nature. It’s worked in lovely
warm shades and sparkly
silver metallic thread. The
deep border features some
blackwork and the central
panel is densely stitched
on 14-count antique
white aida. The finished
size measures 27x34cm
(10½x13½in). You can pick
up the Barn Owl kit for £36.12 from
http://www.bothythreads.com or by calling
01900 828 844.
