Can you find something for
my friend who’s bingo mad?
Something easy, if possible!

I certainly can, Lesley. This Bingo

and will be a nice reminder of
your friend’s favourite game!
It’s so easy to complete that you
may even be able to tempt your

£4.32, Bride and Groom by Cross Stitch Diva

If time is of the essence, this chart should appeal!
It’s quick to stitch in just one shade of thread, and
will look great presented in a 10in embroidery
hoop or a 20x25cm (8x10in) frame. You can have
names and a date added to the chart, too.
Warm winter
I’d love to stitch a Christmas
scene with a black cat in it.
Tina Low, via Facebook
Bothy Threads has a cute design
called Christmas Cat that I think
you’ll enjoy, Tina. It comes as
a kit with 16-count antique white
aida, stranded cotton, metallic
threads and a card to mount your
stitching in. Once finished, it
measures 9x13.5cm (3½x5¼in).
Buy the kit for £9.60 from

Forget me not
I’m sharing a photo of a sampler
my mum stitched for me in 1996
as I’d love a copy of the chart.
Tom Coop, via Facebook
I’ve found it, Tom! It’s a vintage
four-page chart booklet called
Lavender and Lace, designed by
Barbara Mock for Dimensions.
Since it was discontinued some
time ago, it’s hard to get hold of.
But I did manage to find it
available at http://www.amazon.com,
priced at around £6, with
shipping to the UK available.
Fluff it up!
Where can I purchase a brush for fluffing
up Madeira Lana thread, Anne?
Barbara Hicks, via Facebook
I love Madeira’s range of Lana threads. You
can achieve such amazing fuzzy effects,
such as a faux fur look, by brushing them
with a Lana Brush – we did this with Cher yl
McKinnon’s colourful llamas in issue 255.
If you scroll down our Instagram page –
search @crossstitchcrazymag – you’ll
find a quick video showing how to use the
brushes. You can pick up
a brush for £4.72 from http://www.
barnyarns.co.uk or by calling
01765 690 069.

I’d love a chart of African wild dogs.
They’re my son’s favourite animal
but I can’t find a chart anywhere! I’d
prefer a medium- or large-sized chart
as I’d like to make a statement piece.
Stacey Shirley, via Facebook
I’ve found you Wild Dog, an eye-
catching piece worked in whole
stitches. It’s a large chart created
by a computer and worked in whole
stitches. When you stand back and
admire your work, it should look like
an actual painting! The downloadable
chart is available for £9.59 from
http://www.beadedbirdxstitch.etsy.com
S Stacey plans to surprise her
son with a stitch of his favourite
animal, the African wild dog
S Tom’s been looking for this
chart as his mum stitched it
for him over 20 years ago
S This chart only uses two shades,
making it a quick and easy stitch!
X You can easily create realistic-
looking fur by using Madeira Lana
thread and gently brushing it
S The metallics in this
design add that extra
bit of festive sparkle!
