Joina rowof thetrianglesbeginningwith
a featurefabrictoa rowof thetriangles
beginningwiththebackgroundfabricalong
thelongerside,carefullymatchingpoints
(Fig1).Repeatuntilyouhave seven sets of
rowssewn together.

thequilttop.Trimthesidesof the quilt
top,in outsidethepoints.


QUILTINGANDFINISHING

Cutthebackingfabricin halfacrossthe
width.Removetheselvedgesandsewthe
twopiecestogether using a in seam. Press
theseam open.

Pressthequilttopandbackingwell.Make
a quiltsandwichbyplacingthebacking
fabricrightsidedown,thebattingontop,
thenplacethequilttopcentrallyandright
sideup.Bastethelayers together using your
preferred method.

anddiagonalstraightlines,roughlyin

Sewthebindingstripstogether
end-to-endusingdiagonalseams.Press
theseamsopen.Foldin halflengthways,
wrongsides together, and press.

Beginsewingthebindingtotheright
sideof thequilt,startingwithoneendin
thecentreof thetopstraightedgeof the
quilt.Endyourseamwhenyoumeetthe
seambetweenthetwotrianglesat the
corner,backstitching to secure (Fig 2).

Foldthebindingstripup,awayfromthe
quilt,soit formsa straightlinewiththe
nextedge(Fig3).Pinat thepoint,thenfold
thebindingdown,evenwiththenextedge.
Sewalongthisedge,betweenthetriangle
seams,backstitching at each end (Fig 4).

Repeatstep 12 tobindeachofthe
triangularsides.Continuealongthe
bottomedgeofthequiltandbackupthe
otherside,finishingalongthetop straight
edgeasyou normally would.

Foldthebindingovertothebackof the
quilt and hand stitch in place to finish.
