Fromthewhitefabric:
UsetheCircletemplatetocutthe
followingpieces.Cutthree(3)whole
circles.Trimyourtemplatealongthegreen
line,andusethelargersectiontosubcut
oneofyourcircles.Trimyourtemplate
alongtheredline,andusethelarger
sectiontosubcutanotheroneofyour
circles.Thesetwopartialcircleswillform
theenvelopebackofyourcushionandthe
wholecirclewillbethecushionfront.
PREPARINGTHEAPPLIQUÉPIECES

Traceonestem,twosmallleaves,two
smalldots,onelargeflower,one
mediumflower,onesmallflowerandone
centredotontothepapersideofthe
fusiblewebbing,leavingspace between
each one. Cut out roughly.

Fusetothewrongsideofyourfabrics,
followingthemanufacturer’s
instructions.Letcool,thencutoutthe
piecesalongyourdrawnlines,andpeel
awaythepaper.You should have the
followingpieces:
QOnegreenstem.
QTwo green s mall leaves.
QTwoor anges malldot s.
QOneteallargeflower.
QOnebluemediumflower.
QOnelimesmallflower.

Folda cushionfrontpiecein half
verticallyandthenhorizontallyand
fingerpresstofinditscentrepoint.
Positionthegreenstem1indownfromthe
horizontalcentrelineanddirectlyoverthe
middleoftheverticalfoldline.Fuse the
piecein place,followingthe
manufacturer’s instructions.

Sewthestemontothebackgroundfabric.
Sewdowneachside,leavingabout in at
thebottomendunstitchedwheretheleaves
willlayoverit. Thiswaybulkis reducedand
layersof stitchingwillshowlessthroughthe
upperfabriclayers.If youwish,youcanmark
theseareaswitha pencilbeforeyoustart
stitching.Finishneatlybyfasteningoffby
hand.PullthetopthreadthroughtotheWS
of thefabricandthenfastenoffbytyingthe
topandbottom,stitchingthreadstogether
in a knot.Usethismethod for all of the
appliqué pieces.
