(FigE).Stitchthehexagonstogetherone
edgeat a timetomakea flowershape.
Startbyplacinga FabricB andD hexagon
RST,andsewalongtheedgeusinga whip
stitch(FigF).Withoutbreakingthethread,
sewthenexthexagontothenextFabricB
edge.Repeatuntilallhexagonsaresewn
tothecentre.Thenseweachseam
between the hexagons (Fig G).

Removethepaperfromthecentre
hexagon,gentlypeelingawayfromthe
fabric. As you progress through the quilt,

basting the shapes sewing the quilt top

continueremovingthepaperpieceseach

timeallofitsedgeshavebeensewn.This

willmakethepieces easier to work with as

yougoalong.
