How to make a Father’s Day gifts key

picture frame

1

Cut around the outside
of the design, then using

scissors or a craft knife, cut

out the aperture following

the shape of the stitching.

You will need to leave a one square border of

plastic canvas to keep the stitching secure.

2

Turn over your stitching,
attach double-sided

tape around the aperture

and stick your chosen photo

in place. Back the whole

design with white card to create a tidy reverse

side and to add stability.

3

To make a stand, fold a
piece of card in half to

make a vertical crease. Trim

the bottom right edge on a

slight diagonal (increase the

diagonal to make it more

reclined). Finish by shaping the right side.

4

Apply double-sided
tape to the back of the

left side of the stand, then

stick to the back of the

frame so the crease is lined

up to the centre vertically.

Stitching idea
Cut your plastic canvas freehand, leaving one
whole square of canvas around the edges so
your stitches don’t slip out.
