THE WORLD THIS MONTH

ALEX GRIMALDO
(Benfica)
Ex-Barca trainee who has been in fine
form for the Portuguese league leaders.

FRANCISCO TINCAO
(Barcelona)
Started just seven games for Braga this
season when Barcelona agreed to pay
€31m for the Portuguese Under-
forward who will join in the summer.

TINO KADEWERE
(Lyon)
The 24-year-old Zimbabwe international
striker was signed by Lyon for €12m.

“Imagine, he’s ‘the King’, he was

always such an imposing figure

and today he can’t walk properly”

Erling Haaland may have got eight goals
in his first four competitive games, but is
not the only teenager to have recently
announced himself at Dortmund. Gio
Reyna scored a wonder goal in a 3-2 loss
at Werder Bremen in the cup.
Like Haaland, the 17-year-old
American creative midfielder is from
good footballing stock. While the
Norwegian’s father Alf-Inge played for
Leeds United and Manchester City,
Giovanni’s dad is USA Hall of Fame
playmaker Claudio Reyna.
Giovanni joined Dortmund last summer
from New York City FC and has only
been a member of the German club’s
senior squad since the turn of year
but Dortmund coach Lucien Favre is
certainly a huge fan.
Not normally one to heap excessive
praise on a young player, Favre says:
“You’d have to be blind not to spot his
footballing talent.”

ALPHONSO DAVIES
(Bayern Munich)
A revelation as an emergency left-back
who has boosted his club’s title bid.

JOSE BORDALAS
(Getafe)
The 55-year-old coach continues to
works miracles at the unfashionable club
from Madrid’s suburbs.

CHRISTIAN KOUAME
(Fiorentina)
The Ivory Coast international will join
Fiorentina from Genoa for €15m in the
summer despite being out injured.
