Attacking midfielder who faded towards
the end of the recent South American
Under-23 Championship in Colombia,
from which Argentina and Brazil qualified
for the Tokyo Olympics, but was still the
best player on show. Strikes the ball with
real venom – his set-pieces were superb
- and is a threat from open play. Has an
eye for a pass as well as the gift of timing
his runs into the box to perfection. Despite
a lack of physicality, he was forever
popping up beyond the centre- forward.
Was parked at Boca Juniors before he
got a work permit for England. Has
played for Argentina’s seniors – as did his
father Carlos, a left-back – and has two
brothers at Argentinos Juniors, his first club.

(Santos, Bra, & Ven)
One of the 2017 under-20 side who has
kept making progress. Tiny winger whose
low centre of gravity and dribbling skills
make him a challenge for any marker. A
star in Brazilian football and part of his
country’s hopes of reaching the next
World Cup.
