Stitch the whole set of these

designs and keep them on

hand for spring and summer

birthdays, weddings, thank you

cards and so much more.

Cut a piece of white card measuring

30x15cm (11¾x6in). Score down the

middle, then fold in half to make a base

card. Cover the front of the base card

with patterned paper.

Open out the card and lay it flat

onto your work surface. Use a ruler

and pencil to lightly draw a square

measuring 10x10cm (4x4in) onto the

front panel of the base card. Use a craft

knife and ruler to carefully cut out the

square, creating the aperture.

To attach your stitching, stick strips

of double-sided tape around the

aperture edge on the inside of the base

card. Lay the stitching onto the work

surface, then position the aperture on

top and stick in place. Cut a piece of

white card and stick to the inside panel

of the base card to hide

the reverse side of

the stitching.

How to make a gift tag

Use a die-cutter to create the tag shape

and cut from white card. If you don’t have

a die-cutter, then use an old luggage label

as a template and draw around it onto

white card. Cover the front of the tag with

patterned paper,

then punch a hole

in the top. Attach

your stitched piece

using double-

sided tape. Loop

a ribbon through

the hole in the top,

to finish!
