Find the centre of your

fabric by folding it in half

horizontally and vertically.

Follow the arrows on the chart

to find its centre and start

stitching here, in the centre of

your fabric, working outwards.

Work the cross stitch using

two strands of cotton. Where

you see a tiny symbol on the

chart, work a fractional stitch in

its place. There are 20 different

thread colours used to work

the cross stitch and fractionals

in these designs, so make sure

you check the key as you stitch

to ensure that you are always

working correctly.

After you have completed all

of the cross stitch, then you

can add the backstitch using

one strand of grey cotton.

Once you have completed

all the backstitch, then work

the French knots using one

strand of grey cotton.

When you have finished all

the stitching, then carefully

check over your finished work

and prepare it for making up.
