Cross Stitch Favourites - UK (2020 - Spring)

(Antfer) #1

1

Trim your finished
stitching, leaving a border
of two squares of aida, and
fray one square all the way
around. Cut a piece of white
paper slightly smaller than the
stitched piece and attach to
the back of the stitching using
double-sided tape.

2

Use a metal ruler and craft
knife to cut a piece of

stiff card measuring 10.5cm
(4¼in) x your desired length.
Make holes in the top of each
corner of the card using a
hole punch. Cover the card
with coordinating backing
fabric, and stick in place using
double-sided tape.

3

Patch your stitching onto
the front of the covered
stiff card. Make sure that it is

centrally positioned, so the
border around the stitching
is even. Secure it to the card
using double-sided tape.

4

Thread the cord through a
large-eyed needle. Insert
the needle into the backing
fabric and through the holes
in the card that you made in
step 2. Tie a knot in either end
to secure, and hang to finish!
