evenweave over two

threads of the fabric in

16 shades of cotton. The

cross stitch is worked in

two strands of cotton and

the backstitch is worked

in one strand. There are

also lots of fractional

stitches that provide

extra detail, making

this a great project for

experienced stitchers.

Find the centre of your

fabric by folding it in half

horizontally and vertically.

Follow the arrows on the chart

to find its centre and start

stitching here, in the centre of

your fabric, working outwards.

Complete all the cross stitch

first using two strands of

cotton. Where you see a tiny

symbol on the chart, work a

fractional stitch in its place.

Add the backstitch next

using one strand of cotton.

The backstitch is worked in

three different colours for this

project, so refer to the key as

you stitch to make you are

using the correct one.

When you have completed

all the stitching, then

carefully check over your

finished work, wash it and

prepare it for framing.
