Big question

I’ve been using an app called

Fabulous in order to form good

habits that stick. Starting gradually,

tracking my progress and giving me

encouraging reminders, it combines

visuals, sounds and narrative in a

very engaging way. I now drink a

glass of water first thing in the

morning, spend seven minutes

exercising and have a good

breakfast. I’ve even started good

decluttering habits. I’ve also made

great use of Hammerhead Karoo:

the ultimate cycling computer for

the casual commuter or racer. It has

a huge colour screen, all weather

usability and it’s incredibly easy to

sync your cycling routes. It’s

basically transformed my previous

cycling experience.

One tool that’s made a massive difference to our
work is http://www.invisionapp.com. It’s a great solution
for bringing apps or websites to life when you’re
working in the prototype stage of a project. When we
need to move from wireframes to the design layout,
InVision helps us demonstrate the functionality of the
prototype to clients, ensuring they fully understand
the website’s or app’s abilities. This saves so much
time when looking to gain that important approval
and can be shared across the board with ease.

It’s easy to get overwhelmed
with the millions of apps out
there. What’s been most helpful to me
recently is a pencil and paper. Drawing
out where content will go for a
website or listing a workflow for one
of my services helps me to catch areas
that need refinement. I love tech but
sometimes tech works best when
you’ve drawn out what you need the
tech to do first. Pen and paper before
tech, in my experience, can result in a
more thoughtful solution.
