lourishing year after year, the

daffodil is one of the most

popular spring-flowering bulbs

that’ll liven up any garden. With its

recognisable trumpet shape and

cheerful colouring, this is a fabulous

flower adored by many.

In her signature floral style,

Amanda Gregory has created a

host of dancing daffodils in shades

of yellow, orange and cream,

accompanied by long, slender leaves

in several shades of green. Craft

this magnificent scene in no time

at all using whole cross stitch and

backstitch only. Here we’ve used

14-count platinum aida for a rustic

look, but pale blue aida would also

make these flowers pop.

Frame the finished design in a

simple and elegant white frame to

ensure that this collection of daffodils

take centre stage. Hang up in your

home and gaze upon this symbol of

spring all year round, or perhaps gift

to a special friend who might be in

need of a joyful, sunny boost.

I love when the daffodils begin to flower

in my garden. I’ve used different varieties of

daffodils for this design to add more interest.

I think that the cream flowers also help to

highlight the lovely yellow daffodils.
